Another day, another dismal show by Team India in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The Men in Blue, who once lifted the trophy, find themselves on the brink of elimination from the tournament against Pakistan and New Zealand. This disappointing performance has sparked anger amongst the cricket fans back home who are blaming everyone from team players to the Indian Premier League. #BanIPL is trending online as it feels that the cash-rich domestic tournament has led to the bad show by Team India in the international tournament. The IPL matches were closer to the T20 matches and this is primarily the reason for exhausting their power and showbiz tournament. Many are calling out the BCCI to prioritize IPL over international tournaments and its decision to organize the game near the T20 World Cup date, leading to burnout of players and taking their focus away

India has lost to New Zealand by 8 wickets in the T20 World Cup. Having lost this do-or-die match, India is very unlikely to qualify for the semi-finals. Well, there’s still some hope. But Indians need a scapegoat, at this point, it seems to be the Indian Premier League.

Twitterati is extremely upset with team India after they registered their second loss of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, this time to New Zealand by 8 wickets. India had lost the first match of the tournament too against arch-rivals Pakistan by 10 wickets. It seems really impossible that the Men in Blueโ€™s top 4 qualifications will make a difference but never say never.

Once again, Indian skipper Virat Kohli lost the toss and the Men in Blue were put in to bat first. The situation is not unknown to people as Pakistan won the first but this time, the batting was even poor as the Men in Blue could manage only 110 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.

New Zealand, as they walked in to bat smashed the target with 8 wickets in hand and finished the game in 14.2 overs in a must-win match. Ish Sodhi was the player of the match for his brilliant bowling spell. The Men in Blue will now face Afghanistan, Namibia, and Scotland in their remaining group fixtures. Hope they don’t embarrass this time as its Diwali and happiness turns into sadness

Pakistan is at their best so far as they have almost qualified for the semi-final of the T20 World Cup having won 3 out of 3 games so far in the tournament. Afghanistan has also registered 2 wins in the 3 matches that they have played so far. New Zealand has also opened its account in the tournament with a win over India.

The poor run of the Men in Blue has been a point of massive concern in the Indian cricketing fraternity over the last 5-6t years. Virat Kohliโ€™s captaincy has been a question mark in the ICC events and it seems nothing has changed. Virat has already announced that he will be stepping down as the T20 captain after the T20 World Cup but he has left it way before the closing of T20.
