2 days ago Amazon prime was building up for this launch by announcing “We are busy ‘channelising’ all our energy for the massive party so don’t @ (tag) us asking how to #JoinTheBiggestParty” and by not announcing what the biggest party is they created the hype amongst the viewers.
Today Amazon revealed the secret, it launched 8 new OTT channels for the viewers to have all types of content in one app. Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, Docubay, Eros Now, MUBI, Hoichoi, Manorama Max, and Shorts TV with add-on subscriptions. Amazon Prime Video is available in India for 1000 annually and now with ads on subscriptions, you can enjoy any of these channels.
At what price these channels are available?
Discovery+ (Rs 299/year), Docubay (Rs 499/year), Eros Now (Rs 299/year), hoichoi (Rs. 599/ year) Lionsgate Play (Rs 699/year), Manorama Max (Rs. 699/year), MUBI (Rs 1999/year), Shorts TV (Rs 299/year) available on the platform.

What type of content will be available on these channels?
Discovery+ will provide 55,0000-plus episodes of current and older shows from Discovery’s networks, including HGTV, Food Network, TLC, ID, OWN, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, the History Channel and Lifetime, and exclusive streaming access to a collection of natural history programming from the BBC.
Docubay and Shorts TV will caters to factual entertainment viewers, the platform offers mainstream, engaging, relevant and insightful content and award winning documentaries and short films.
Lionsgate, MUBI and Eros Now will serve the audience with blockbuster and quality cinema. Hoichoi and Manorama Max will allow the users to enjoy the movies of regional languages like Malyalam and Bengali.
