An Eye Opening Speech On Climate Change by An Activist at U.N. Climate Action Summit

A 16-year-old, Climate change activist Greta Thunberg is a public figure to promote sustainable development, and concern on the topic of climate change and its impact on us and the upcoming generation.

Not only climate change, but Greta Thunberg also uses her voice against human rights violations and Nobel causes which are usually ignored by political parties for vote and chair.

In recent, Greta Thunberg expressed her views and opinions on climate change again at the U.N.’s climate action summit in New York City, Monday.

Her tone was fierce in this speech she bang on world leader and ask then how dare you! She started with:

“My message is that we’ll be watching you. “This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you!

“You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. And yet I’m one of the lucky ones. People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!

In whole the speech, she put forward alarming issues and their consequences like cutting trees in exchange for buildings and infrastructure, global warming, air pollution,  Co2 emerging in climate. And atlast she said:

You are failing us. But the young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you. And if you choose to fail us, I say: We will never forgive you.

“We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up. And change is coming, whether you like it or not.

“Thank you.”
