At India Energy Week, Reliance introduces a hydrogen-run truck

At the India Energy Week in Bengaluru on Monday, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) presented India’s first hydrogen internal combustion engine technology solution for heavy-duty vehicles. According to a RIL press release, trucks powered by hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2ICE) will produce emissions that are almost zero, have performance comparable to that of conventional diesel trucks, and produce less noise with anticipated operating cost savings, redefining the future of green mobility.

India is pushing hard for the usage of hydrogen, which is created by electrically splitting water. It is green hydrogen if it uses power produced from sustainable resources like the sun and wind.
