BMW has officially announced to launch the 3 Series Gran Limousine in the Indian market on 21st January, 2021. It is essentially the long-wheelbase version of the 3 Series sedan. With launch of the model BMW 3 Seires India will become the first right-hand-drive market to receive it. The car rides kn 110mm longer wheelbase, the length of the car has been made longer by 120mm. Due to the longer wheelbase the leg space available becomes more by 43mm. Within the new model the rear doors are jo longer ingress and egress. Also the rear seat has been cushioned with better bolstering. The vehicle gets new headrests, wider centre armrest, panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps and tail-lamps, ambient lighting, multi zone climate control and others. There is an 8.8 inch touchscreen with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system. It will also offer BMW connected car tech, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, 3D navigation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console and others.The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine is expected to be offered with 2 vairants having 2 engine options– a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. While the firsr variant is fitted with 255bhp of power with 400Nm of torque, the second vairant offers 188bhp of power. It is expected to replace the 3 Series GT, and will be positioned between the 3 Series and 5 Series in BMW’s India line-up.
