British luxury carmaker McLaren confirms entry in India; set to open first outlet in Mumbai in second half of 2022

McLaren, a British manufacturer of high-end supercars, has expanded into India. McLaren Automotive, an automaker, has announced its entry into the Indian market. The country, with a population of 130 million, is the 41st territory of the automaker. The British company announced in a statement that its first store will open in Mumbai in October this year. McLaren has become known worldwide for its supercars and supercars. The company was founded in 2010, offering a wide range of GT, supercar, Motorsport and Ultimate models distributed by more than 100 dealers in more than 40 markets around the world. The automaker will market its premium vehicles, including the Artura and the Everyday McLaren GT. Supercars like the 720S Coupe and Spider and the 765LT Coupe and Spider are also available at the company’s special Maximum City store. The company says a celebration will be held in the second half of this year to celebrate the launch of McLaren Mumbai.

“We look forward to opening the McLaren Mumbai retail experience centre and offering McLaren customers an outstanding opportunity to engage with the brand and to be part of the McLaren owners’ community”, Lalit Choudary of McLaren Mumbai said.

“India remains an important market where our fans and select clientele can enjoy the best of McLaren in Mumbai. Looking ahead, we will shortly welcome the Artura to India, the all-new high-performance hybrid supercar,” Paul Harris, Managing Director – APAC and China, McLaren Automotive said in a statement.

“It will also provide customers with full levels of support, offering sales, aftersales and servicing on the complete range of McLaren models,” the company said.
