Check out how Mirabai Chanu’s family celebrated the victory at Commonwealth Games 2022

Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu clinched India’s first gold medal at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Mirabai won the gold in the 49kg clean and jerk event, she lifted a total of 201kg to give India their third medal and the first gold medal at the tournament. After her win,  Mirabai Chanu took to her Twitter account and shared a video of her mother and other relatives celebrating her victory, they could be soon dancing by holding the Indian flag. She lifted 84kg (snatch) in her first attempt, and went on to lift 88kg in her second. Her third attempt of 90kg was unsuccessful. She started the clean and jerk round with a 109kg lift and followed it up with 113kg. However, her third attempt of 115kg was unsuccessful.  Roilya Ranaivosoa of Mauritius and of Hannah Kaminski of Canada took silver and bronze, respectively. Ranaivosoa lifted 172 kg :76 kg in snatch and 96 in clean & jerk, while Kaminski managed 171 kg :74 kg in snatch and 97 in clean & jerk.

The entire nation is proud of her and so are her family members and relatives, the celebration video shared by the medalist is wholesome and inspires the next generation to do the same.
