Check out how the Indian Cricket Team celebrate the 75th Independence Day in Zimbabwe!!

After defeating England in England, India went on to take over West Indies in their country. The ODI Series started on 22nd July and it was a 3 match ODI Series and all of the 3 matches took place in Trinidad. The West Indies team was defeated in all the three matches by India and it was a whitewash by the Indian team. It was the first time that the Indian team had whitewashed West Indies in their country in an ODI Series. After the ODI series, India played a 5 match T20 series against West Indies and won that by 4-1 and returned home winning both the series.

The  T20 series ended on 7th August and the Indian team will play against Zimbabwe in a 3 match ODI series starting 18th August. BCCI Announced the squad for the Zimbabwe tour. It was rumored that Virat Kohli will play the series as BCCI wants him to get back into form before the Asia Cup. But the rumor was not true as Virat Kohli is not included in the squad. Shikhar Dhawan was named the captain of the team but later on it was confirmed 2 days ago that KL Rahul is available and has been clearance by the BCCI Medical team, he was announced the captain of the team. Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have also been rested for the series.

Yesterday, BCCI shared pictured of the players from the first practice session of the players. A group picture of Prasidh Krishna, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Mohammad Siraj, Rahul Tripathi and Deepak Chahar, a picture of Gill batting and couple of more images were shared by BCCI from the first practice session of India in Harare ahead of the Zimbabwe tour.

Today was the 75th Independence Day in India and our Indian Cricket Team hoisted our Indian Flag in Harare where they are staying before the start of the Zimbabwe Tour. BCCI posted a group photo of the squad and crew members of the team under our Indian flag.
