Disney+ Hotstar, an Indian brand of subscription video for on-demand over-the-top streaming service owned by Disney Star’s Novi Digital Entertainment and operated by Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, is soon going to release these Movies or Webseries.
1. Thor Love & Thunder –
Marvel superhero film Thor: Love and Thunder’ will release on Disney+ Hotstar in India on September 8 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and English. It is the sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Taika Waititi, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Waititi, Russell Crowe, and Natalie Portman. It released in theaters in early July and grossed over Rs 100 crore in India. In case you missed out on the theatrical run of the latest Marvel movie, Thor: Love and Thunder will release on Disney+ Hotstar on September 8.
2. Wedding Season –
One of the popular OTT streaming platforms, Disney Plus Hotstar, which is known to deliver unique and promising content to its viewers, is all set to premiere its yet another original series titled Wedding Season. Disney+ Hotstar will stream British dark comedy Wedding Season on 8 September. The show is directed by George Kane and Laura Scrivano and stars Rosa Salazar and Gavin Drea, along with Jade Harrison, Jamie Michie, Callie Cooke, Bhav Joshi, Ioanna Kimbrook and Omar Baroud. The makers of the series have finally revealed its release date.
3. Pinocchio –
Pinocchio, an upcoming stop-motion animated musical fantasy drama film directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson is all set to release on Hotstar on 8th September. This is a darker version of the classic children’s fairy tale of a wooden puppet who turns into a real living boy. Tom Hanks stars as the Wood Carver Geppetto, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Pinocchio’s guide Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy, and Keegan-Michael Key is “Honest” John.
4. Dahan –
Disney+ Hotstar has announced that its new Indian original Dahan will start streaming from September 16. The show stars Tisca Chopra, Saurabh Shukla and Rajesh Tailang. If you are a fan of unique and horror stories, then something amazing is knocking in the world of OTT. The name of this new one is ‘The Mystery of Dahan-Raken’ which will release on Disneyplus Hotstar. Tisca Chopra leads another, a supernatural mystery called Dahan: Raakan Ka Rahasya. Set in Rajasthani village Shilaspura, it finds a mining corporation digging for the rare earth mineral underneath a revered and cursed temple. You will definitely like this web series.
5. Star Wars Andor –
Andor will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on September 21 with the first three episodes. Andor will be available in English and Hindi only. The Andor series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings to the fore the story of a rising rebellion against the Empire and how the people and the planet became involved. It’s an era full of danger, deceit and intrigue where Cassian will embark on a path that is destined to turn him into a rebellious hero.
6. Babli Bouncer –
We have Tamannaah in the comedy-drama Babli Bouncer directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, which will hit the screens on September 23 on Disney+ Hotstar. Babli Bouncer finally got a trailer — in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Padma Shri winner Madhur Bhandarkar directs the film, though it is a far cry from his past, seriously-toned socio-politics-focused entries. He co-wrote for Babli Bouncer with a team of two: Aradhana Debnath and Amit Joshi. Babli Bouncer released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu with dubs, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
7. Hocus Pocus 2
The sequel to 1993 fantasy comedy film Hocus Pocus will release on September 30 on Disney Plus Hotstar. Hocus Pocus 2 brings back the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters — Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker return to reprise their roles in the lead roles after 29 years, as they are looking for revenge in this sequel to the 1993 cult classic film. It is up to three high-school students to stop violent witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.
