Cricket Tasmania has slammed Cricket Australia for ill-treating Tim Paine. As the stories Continue regarding the Sexual Scandal he was involved in with a former Cricket Tasmania staffer in 2017 was made public in a News Corp report. Tim Paine is known for removing the Australian cricket team from the ruins after what went down in Capetown in 2018. Tim Paine has given up his captaincy just days before the start of the Ashes series. The veteran wicketkeeper says he took the decision to give away his Test captaincy, in spite of the backing of Australia coach Justin Langer, who wanted him to remain in the role. Cricket Tasmania has condemned the Australian Cricket Board for making the matter public which Tim Paine has not taken too well. They have also made it clear the announcement did not go well in Paine’s hometown. CA should have been more loyal and supportive towards Tim Paine considering the contributions he has made to the team.

In 2018, Paine was cleared by CA of any misconduct after a 2018 integrity unit investigation after the texts were found to be private, consensual and not an act of misconduct.

However, new CA chairman Richard Freudenstein unearthed the whole incidence by insisting Paine would not have survived if it had happened under the current board.

Paine returned to the field in a second XI game for Tasmania yesterday and he took six catches.
