Dhanush announced his separation from his wife Aishwaryaa after 18 years of marriage on Monday (January 17), in a startling turn of events. On Twitter, the actor sent a lengthy message. It read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other..The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting…Today we stand at a place where our paths separate…Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. The eldest daughter of renowned actor Rajinikanth, Aishwaryaa, and a director-singer by profession, also posted the same image on her Instagram account. In the caption, she wrote: “No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary!”
Their admirers have been in sheer disappointment since the news came out. Some were even shocked. Their posts were inundated with fan responses in no time.
For the unaware audience, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa married on November 18, 2004, in a traditional South Indian wedding, and are the proud parents of two kids, Yatra and Linga, who were born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
