Elon Musk Clarified To Cut 10% Of Workforce In Next 3 Months

Tesla  CEO Elon Musk has a “super bad feeling” about the economy and needs to cut about 10% of salaried staff .

Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday said that Tesla will fire 10% of  its employees. They further added that the electric car-making company will lay off these employees in the next 3 months. Earlier this month, Musk reportedly announced through an internal email that there will be job cuts and he has a “super bad feeling” about the economy as well. The email sent to Tesla executives also talked about pausing “all hiring worldwide”. Until now, Musk or Tesla didn’t officially confirm details related to layoffs. The Tesla company is going through tough time. Musk recently asked all the employees to start work from office. He clearly mentioned that people who do not want to  follow the guidelines can quit.

During a meeting Musk hinted at layoffs at Twitter. He said that the microblogging site “needs to get healthy” financially and bring the cost down. He also added that “anyone who is a signification contributor has nothing to worry about.”

Appearing via video link at the Qatar Economic Forum, Musk was asked to clarify exactly what proportion of Tesla’s total workforce he expects to lay off. Tesla is reducing the salaried workforce roughly 10% over the next probably three months or so,” Musk said.
