Elon Musk dethrones Jeff Bezos to become the world’s richest person with net worth of $189 billion

After being the richest man in the world Elon Musk is back to work now. Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO on Thursday, thrashed Jeff Bezos and became the richest man in the world, US media reported.

Musk has seen a lots of hiccups in his entire career. Once when he decided to sell of Tesla owing to poor results has now gone past the Jeff Bezos’ net worth on Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a ranking of the world’s 500 wealthiest people.

Jeff Bezos, the Amazon CEO who has been holding the first spot from October 2017, has been dethroned by Elon Musk owing to a 4.8 per cent rally in Tesla’s share price on Thursday took Musk past Bezos, with a net worth of $188.5 billion, 1.5 billion more than Bezos.

“Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley” tagged the Tesla man and wrote: Elon Musk is now the richest person in the world at $190 billion” on him being securiing #1 spot.

As per the news by the company they delivered 1,61,560 Model 3 and Model Y cars produced 1,63,660 such vehicles in the fourth quarter.

They also produced and delivered 18.920 Model S and 16,097 Model X vehicles.

The company stated: The company produced over half a million vehicles in 2020. Also the production of Model Y has begun in Shanghai and the deliveries will begin soon. Inspite of closing the new factory in China as and the vehicle factory in Fremont, California being closed for several weeks due to spread of Covid-19.

Musk also tweeted: “So proud of the Tesla team for achieving this major milestone! At the start of Tesla, I thought we had (optimistically) a 10% chance of surviving at all”.
