Mastodon has also been taken from the microblogging platform, in addition to other things.

A new standalone app for sharing text-based content is among Meta’s plans for launching Twitter’s competition. The source said that ActivityPub, a decentralised social media protocol used by other federated services like Mastodon, would be the foundation around which the app will be constructed. The software appears to have the codename P92.
