The new Twitter boss, Elon Musk, who is well-known for his amusing comments, repeated the action. In his response to a politician from the United States, Musk was adamant about the seriousness of his choice.
In response to Twitter’s recent announcement that it will now charge $8 for “blue tick” verification, Elon Musk, the new CEO of Twitter, was rebuked by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) for trying to sell “free speech,” to which Musk responded, “Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8.”
When it comes to voicing her opinions about the founder of SpaceX, AOC, 33, isn’t afraid to speak her mind. On Tuesday night, she criticized Musk, 51, for wanting to charge users $8 per month for a verification checkmark.
She wrote, “Lmao at a billionaire trying to sell people on the idea that “free speech” is actually an $8/[month] subscription plan.”
Musk then tweeted once more, pointing out that he is significantly less expensive than Cortez and including a screenshot of Cortez’s website’s $58 price.

The billionaire and the progressive representative from New York have previously exchanged insults on Twitter. Ocasio-Cortez expressed her frustration in a tweet from last spring, “Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening bc some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him out to dinner and made him feel special.”
Musk tweeted back, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”
After that, Ocasio-Cortez seemed to respond to the tweet with the words“I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok,” before suddenly deleting her reply, though not before it was captured by some people.
