England Vs New Zealand: 3rd Test, Day 5, Check Out How Johnny Bairstow lead England to Victory!!

New Zealand toured England for a 3 match Test series and the 3rd Test has started. The match took place at Leeds.

Ben Stokes is the new captain of the England’s Test team as he replaced Joe Root. In the 1st Test, Joe Root and Ben Foakes’ amazing partnership on the 4th day helped England win the first match of the series. Joe Root was named the man of the match in that match. The Second Test was also won by England and Johnny Bairstow was named the man of the match for his amazing century.

New Zealand tried to not be whitewashed in this series. James Anderson is resting in this match as there is a big match against India coming up in just 9 days and he will be the lead bowler in the series as he is the one bowler who troubles the Indian batsman everytime.

Jamie Overton is playing his debut Test for England and he took his maiden wicket in the first innings of the Test too. The match went neutral on the first and second day. England had taken the edge over New Zealand in the 3rd and 4th  Day. The BLACKCAPS managed to give England a target of 296 runs. At the end of Day 4 England was at 183/2. Ollie Pope and Joe  Root were batting and they both had crossed the half century mark and Pope was nearing his century.

On Day 5, the Blackcaps took an early wicket of Ollie Pope but then came in Johnny Bairstow who played like it was a T20 match and scored 71 of just 44 balls and helped  England win the 3rd Test match and whitewash New Zealand in the series.

England will now prepare to play against India in the re-scheduled Test. It is a big match ahead of England and they have to win so that they can end the series in a draw.
