The “Drone Shakti” program is a new startup program supported by the budget of the year 2022. The budget was presented by the Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman. She said “Startups will be promoted to facilitate ‘Drone Shakti’ through varied applications for drones as service. In select ITIs in all states, the required courses for skilling will be started” about the “Drone Shakti” program.
The “Drone Shakti” program aims to strengthen the drone industry and liberalise the drone rule of 2021. The drone makers and service providers are ramping up their product offerings. The Drone Shakti scheme and INR 120 Cr PLI scheme for drone and drone components will help increase domestic manufacturing which will create employment. The fundamental aim of the drone industry facilitated by the drone Shakti is to generate a supplier ecosystem for the industry in India.
Drone technology has become one of the high-tech powers in most sectors. The Indian government is propelling the drone industry, the investment of the drone startups will make the Indian economy grow more. India is focusing on “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” which indeed means to support the startups. Modi called the startups the backbone of India’s economy. The Drone Shakti program is now India’s tops startup supporting program.
