First time two Indian production won Oscar Bollywood celebrities and PM Modi congratulate Oscar winner

The 95th Academy awards function was held in Los Angeles. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ team after it won the Oscar in the Best Documentary Short film category.

Their work wonderfully highlights the importance of sustainable development and living in harmony with nature.”

Prime Minister also congratulated music director M.M. Keeravani and lyricist Chandra Bose after their song “Naatu! Naatu!” from the Telugu film “RRR” won the prestigious Oscar award.

He tweeted “Exceptional! The popularity of ‘Naatu Naatu’ is global. It will be a song that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @boselyricist and the entire team for this prestigious honour,” the country is “elated and proud” of their achievement.

Prominent actor Anupam Kher took to his Instagram to celebrate India’s big win at the Oscars. He wrote, “Every actor inside me congratulates team The Elephant Whisperers and RRR for their Oscar win. Such a proud moment for #IndianCinema.”
