
Cyrus Mistry, former president of Tata Sons, tragically died this Sunday afternoon in Palghar, Maharashtra, when his car hit the divider. He was 54 years old.
According to reports, the accident happened on the Charoti Bridge Surya River of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway. Mistry drove her Mercedes from Gujarat to Mumbai.
He was traveling with three other people in the car. According to reports, one of them was killed in the collision. The other two were also seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The video shows how badly the front end of the vehicle was damaged. Airbags were deployed, but they were not enough to save the lives of the passengers.
Mistry was ousted from the position of sixth chairman of Tata Sons in October 2016. After Ratan Tata announced his retirement in December 2012, he took over as chairman. Thereafter, N Chandrasekaran assumed the position of Executive Chairman of Tata Sons.
