A Scotland based company is manufacturing watches which are actually affordable with unique designs and amazing enamel finish dials. anOrdain, whose range starts from Rs 93,000 was started by designer and entrepreneur Lewis Heath, who is also the co-founder of a headphone making company, RHA. anOrdian’s watches are heat-treated, powered by Sellita movement and inspired by cartographic maps of the Scottish Highlands with enamel dials which are available in multiple colours. The models are available in two variants and within budget.
The Undone co-founder Michael Young was a well-famous vintage Rolex restorer. He launched Undone in 2016, a Hong-Kong based company on a crowd-funding platform “Kickstarter” and has been garnering attention since. Undone has a cool collection of watches with some amazing customisable options. The watches speak minimalistic and vintage in every sense with well-made designs and online customisable options. Undone gets their quartz and automatic movements from Seiko and it comes with years of warranty. The collection starts at Rs 18,000.
3.Banglore Watch company
The Banglore Watch company is India’s first boutique watchmaker, launched by the couple Nrupesh Joshi and Mercy Amalraj. The duo started the company a few years ago with the Renaissance Automatic collection, followed by the Mach 1 pilot watch range last year which featured watch dials made out of the skin of a MiG 21. In December, Banglore Watch Company launched Cover Drive, a line of automatic watch which is inspired by cricket. The cricket-inspired watches have the wicket symbol as the 12 O’clock marker and the seconds hand as the form of a bat. The Swiss Automatic movements power these watches and their cases are made of surgical-made.
Unimatic is a Milan-based watch manufacturing company which produces the best and affordable watches. The company was founded by industrial designers Giovanni Moro and Simone Nunziato in 2015 and produces 3,000 watches a year and most of them have been bestsellers. These watches are a minimalistic take on vintage designs and automatic semantics from Seiko. Their RAF grey dial watches with nylon straps is a beauty.
