The travellers go for mountains over beaches to opt for a holiday. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, North-east, Kerala, and Rajasthan are the top picks for travelling to get a break from COVID.
According to the survey conducted by Yatra.com with around 5,000 contributors that took part in the annual survey, there are 75% people who are planning to take a trip during the festive season as the coronavirus restrictions are being lifted. The advanced bookings have seen a rise of almost 40% for more than a month advance bookings. Though the number of COVID cases in the area and the sanitisation ratings were the top concerns of the travellers.
More than 50% of the travellers went for medical and travellers insurance and around 50% preferred to order room service than going out to restaurants. In the survey, more than 72% of the correspondents said they will prefer going through the sanitisation process before entering a tourist spot.
The budget travel packages have seen a constant spike as people are willing to pay Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 per person for their vacations.
