Here are the top travelling destinations to get a break from COVID-19

The year, 2020 has been a topsy-turvy year, with the whole world affected by the coronavirus pandemic to the democratic turn of events in our own country. This year taught people how short life is and how things can be changed within minutes. With the whole world in lockdown, people were either stuck home alone or with their families giving us a chance to bond with ourselves and our close ones. Now, with the lockdown is lifted from almost everywhere in the country and what’s the best way to celebrate it? Travelling! Trips to faraway homes, to get a break.

The travellers go for mountains over beaches to opt for a holiday. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, North-east, Kerala, and Rajasthan are the top picks for travelling to get a break from COVID.

According to the survey conducted by with around 5,000 contributors that took part in the annual survey, there are 75% people who are planning to take a trip during the festive season as the coronavirus restrictions are being lifted. The advanced bookings have seen a rise of almost 40% for more than a month advance bookings. Though the number of COVID cases in the area and the sanitisation ratings were the top concerns of the travellers.

More than 50% of the travellers went for medical and travellers insurance and around 50% preferred to order room service than going out to restaurants. In the survey, more than 72% of the correspondents said they will prefer going through the sanitisation process before entering a tourist spot.

The budget travel packages have seen a constant spike as people are willing to pay Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 per person for their vacations.
