How often have we heard the phrase ‘Speed thrills’. There might be only some in the world who wouldn’t like speed and agility. So following are some of the fastest things in their particular area.
Fastest human -Usain Bolt
He is the fastest ever human who has completed 100m race within 9.58 seconds. He has won a total of 23 Gold, 5 Silver and a solitary Bronze medal in his entire career.
Owning to his speed he is also referred as ‘Lighting Bolt’. He might have retired but his legacy is still maintained among the present athletes who still consider him as a role model.
Fastest elevator- Guangzhou CTF Finance Center
The world’s fastest elevator, developed by Hitachi Building Systems, is installed in the Guangzhou CTF Finance Center, a 530-meter-high skyscraper built in Guangzhou, China. In order to carry guests to the hotel on the upper floors, the elevator climbs from the 1 st floor to the 95th in around 42 seconds.
Fastest submarine- K-222 Nuclear Submarine
It was the first ever submarine to be made with a relatively light titanium hull, which perhaps resulted into its high speed. The submarines unofficial maximum speed, reached in March 1971 was 52mph and could be submerged in water upto depth of 400m for 70 days.
Fastest water slide- Verrüct
This water slide is present in Schlitterbahn Kansas City Water Park. At 41 mteres high it is the highest water slide. It takes just 4-5 seconds from to come down from its summit and is the most extreme all over the world.
Fastest fish – Sailfish
At a top speed of 70 mph it is the fastest fish in the world. It can be recognized by their erectile dorsal fin. They are very speedy and agile.
