Being an entrepreneur is easy these days, but what goes unseen is the hardwork and dedication one puts in. There will be days when you will question, is it worth it? That is why we created this selection of mainly inspiring movies for budding entrepreneurs. One would enjoy entrepreneur movies with a rags to riches theme. The following movies have been made on the same lines.
5. A Simple Plan (1993)
This was initially a novel by Scott Smith which was later converted into an equally brilliant film by Sam Raimi. This riveting story about a group of friends who stumble upon a downed plane with millions in cash that no one knows about is a great example of how money can bring out the best and worst in people. Okay, now that we have seen that crime does not pay, let’s take a look at some of film’s more positive tales.
4. The Pursuit of Happyness (2007)
This is a true, feel good story of Chris Gardner and his 5 years old son who are evicted from their apartments and with no place to reside, Gardner lands into a life changing internship with a renowned stock broker and with his will to succeed in life along with his hardwork and his dedication he is able to overcome what life has thrown at him to achieve true success.
3. Slumdog Millionaire (2009)
This is an unforgettable rags to riches tale where the rags in this story are horrendous poverty and sickening living conditions. Here the rise is accomplished by means of a game show but, again, it’s brains not bullets that save the hero.
2.Wall Street (1987,2010)
Said by Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) ‘Greed is good,’ is the same thing which has been portrayed in this film. And the film shows us the pitfalls of high-rolling corporate raiding along a sliding scale of the law and morality. Here wheeling and dealing is the point of life and the fortune earned is blood money. Sadly the sequel was nowhere near as good as the first part. Beloved Christmas classic, this ghostly tale by Charles Dickens is fondly remembered as a spooky ride for a Christmas night. But there’s more to this story and the lesson it seeks to teach.
1. Christmas Carol
This movie gives us a strong message that wealth is merely a tool in living a rewarding life, not life itself. While watching Scrooge have the errors of his life pointed out to him, we also see that the desire for wealth as one’s sole purpose in life is a one-way ticket to tragedy. The tale begins with a lonely,bitter,greedy,money-grubbing, isolated miser as the wealth has turned him against everything.
