Here’s the smart endorsing trick used by Housing India which proves to be a game-changer

Housing India is a Mumbai based real estate portal which allows customers finding houses based on their requirements and preferences. Along with 6000 brkoers which serve in 40 cities in India and also in the metro cities like Chennai,  Mumbai,  Bengaluru, Kolkata and Delhi.

A group of twelve students from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay founded Housing.co.in in June 2012. Hailing from Rajasthan, Rahul Yadav was the main man behind Housing.com. He is the founder and also the former CEO of the company. He has also made into the Forbes list of ’30 under 30′ for his efforts.

The company purchased Housing.com from San Francisco-based internet entrepreneur, Peter Headington, and the telephone number in September 2013 for a total of $1m.

The company has raised $2.5 million in Series A funding from Nexus Venture Partners in June 2103. The company used the funds to create its Data Science Lab and to expand to four cities: Bengaluru, Gurugram, Pune, Hyderabad. The company raised another $19M in venture funding, led by Helion Venture Partners, in April 2014.

Owing to the lockdown there is no sector which has not been affected and so is the real estate sector as it made sales worth only ₹252 crores in the entire lockdown and has seen a great declination upto 80%. So, to deal with this issue the company used a clever trick to endorse their site via Indian legendary cricketer Virender Sehwag and the talented future star Rishabh Pant.
