The Huawei Mate X2 is a successor to the Huawei Mate X. Earlier the company also dropped a Mate Xs which didn’t do well in the market. Both the released phone have an outward folding design. The new rumored phone however, is reported to be inward folding design just like the market leader Samsung Galaxy folds.
There have been multiple stories from China regarding the release of a new foldable Huawei Phone, but we still don’t have concrete details about the device.
Huawei Mate X2 is the third in line with the foldable series of the company and is expected to be in direct competition with the much appreciated and popular Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. There is obviously a wide space for competition in the foldable phone market in the world right now and currently, only Samsung phones occupy that space. This will give a huge opportunity to Huawei to give a tough competition to Samsung.
The device is reported to be 8 inches (2200×2480 pixels) when opened and 6.45 inches (1160×2700 pixels) when folded.
A recently leaked render has given us an insight into the front camera situation of the device. In between, a tipster revealed that the dimensions of the device – 161.8 x 145.8 x 8.2mm and weighed around 295g.
The device will house a kirin 9000 SoC that is clocked at 3.13GHz which is more powerful than the industry flagship Snapdragon 888.
The device is reported to be released in India, on February 22 for about ₹2,00,000
