I am not a parcel to be picked, I am a woman says Alia Bhatt replying to a media post, check the details!!

Alia Bhatt on Monday announced her pregnancy and social media has been flooded with comments since then. Some are happy and congratulating her while some are speculating how the pregnancy would affect her acting career. Several reports and rumors have been made about the actress. However, Alia Bhatt slams a report that speculates her taking a break from shooting.

A well-known media house posted,” Alia announces pregnancy, will she delay her Hollywood debut?” It added, ” Reportedly mommy to be will return to Mumbai in mid-July, and husband Ranbir might go to bring his wife home. Alia will also be taking rest after returning home.”

To this Alia Bhatt reacted, “Meanwhile in some people’s heads, we still live in some patriarchal world…FYI. Nothing has gotten delayed. No one needs to pick anyone up. I am a woman, not a parcel. I do not need to rest at all but good to know you’ll have a doctor’s certification as well. This 2022. Can we please get out of this archaic way of thinking? Now if you would excuse me.. My shot is ready.”

Alia clearly did not like the language used by the reporter and the information was also misleading. Kudos to her for raising her voice and not tolerating. Actresses have always been an easy target and Anushka Sharma too faced the same during her pregnancy. The only difference is these young women know how to bring in change.

Alia will be making her Hollywood debut soon and she will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh. Her line-up of films also includes Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor.
