The Sweden furniture company IKEA is one of the world’s leading company in terms of selling furniture. The company is famous for selling its products at world class quality and at affordable prices. The company inaugurated its store at Navi Mumbai on 18th of December. They have taken all the precautions on the safety of their customers. This store at Navi Mumbai is only the second store of the Swedish company in India and first ever in Maharashtra. The first ever store was opened in Hyderabad in August in 2018. The store is spreaded over 5.3 lakh square feet and has stock of almost 7000 home furnishing products. To give an idea about the space of this store is that its so enormous that it can fit 10 regular size football fields. They newly provided service which the customer can avail is “Click and Collect”, wherein customers can order their desired products at the comfort of their home and can collect it from the store car park. But to avail this service the customer has to pay additional Rs.200 for it. These two stores aren’t able to reach all of the customers in Mumbai so the Multnational Conglomerate aims at opening two more stores in 2021. The store will provide employment to over 6000 people out of which 50% i.e 3000 of them will be women.
