Today was the fourth day of the third and last test of India vs South Africa. It was the series decider as both the teams won one game each. India has never won a series in South Africa and that record will remain as India lost the match today by seven wickets.
Yesterday India gave South Africa a target of 212 runs and before stumps, South Africa scored 101 runs at the loss of just 2 wickets. Many controversies spiked up yesterday when Ashwin’s ball trapped Elgar and he was given out by the umpire but the decision was overturned when Elgar decided to go for a review. Everyone was shocked as the ball had hit Elgar’s leg below his knee. Elgar said something to Virat to which Virat replied by going to the stump mic and saying that you should look when your team does that too and not only the opponents. KLrahul also said that the whole country is playing against 11 guys. The Indian team was very aggressive in their approach. Virat was criticized for his actions as many people think that what he did was not necessary. Today, when the first session started India, tried hard to take wickets by South Africa successfully dodged Indian bowlers and made the rest of the runs by losing just one wicket.
India’s performance was not up to the mark. Many Indian batsmen were not in the form. Hopefully, we will be able to win the ODI series starting 19th January.
