Indian women football team to lock horns against Brazil in Four Nation Tournament

The women’s football team will be competing with Brazil in a four-nation tournament. The Senior Indian Women’s Team’s forthcoming matches International Tournament will be held in Brazil.

This match between India and hosts Brazil is a historic encounter, as it will be the first time that the senior national teams of both nations will face off against each other. Since the match is already begun, the score is 1-1

India is set to play Brazil today, then against Chile on November 28 and Venezuela on December 2, with all the matches set to be played in Manaus, Brazil. The competition is part of the Indian women’s football team is preparing for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 to be held in India, next year.

Thomas Dennerby, who has been coach of the Indian women’s football team, believes the two Brazilian veterans are brilliant role models for footballers worldwide. Formiga will be playing for the last time; the 43-year-old, a veteran who has played over 200 matches for Brazil, has represented her country in seven consecutive women’s World Cups and at seven Olympic Games. This is the first time that they will play a team of such stature, and it will be a good experience for all of them. Indian women have had trips to the UAE, Bahrain, and Sweden for friendly matches. The Indian women’s football team also played friendly matches in Uzbekistan in April.
