IPL will perform its first opening ceremony since 2018

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) intends to stage a lavish curtain raiser in Ahmedabad on March 31 in advance of the season opener between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, which would be the first opening ceremony for the Indian Premier League since 2018.

In 2018, there haven’t been any opening ceremonies to begin the IPL. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL Governing Council decided to postpone the event in 2019 and donate the money to the families of the CRPF personnel slain on February 14, 2019.

After being delayed for two years by the COVID-19 epidemic, the IPL will revert to a home-and-away schedule. Moreover, the opening ceremony is predicted to include many A-list celebrities. The ten IPL team leaders won’t be able to attend the inaugural ceremony, though. But on Wednesday, all of the captains are required to attend a captain’s meeting in Ahmedabad.

Arijit Singh, a well-known singer, and Bollywood actor Tamannaah Bhatia will perform during the Opening Ceremony, the IPL announced on social media. About Rashmika Mandanna and a few other people being asked to play at the occasion, the BCCI has remained silent. The Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest cricket stadium in the world, may potentially host a unique laser show.

The IPL has officially confirmed  this in their tweet:-
