MS Dhoni retired on today’s date, 2 years ago on 15th August, 2020.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is said to be the greatest Indian Captain ever, retired from International cricket on today’s date, 2 years ago. He played his last match against New Zealand in 2019 in the World Cup Semi Final which is a match no Indian cricket Fan can ever forget. He announced his retirement on 15th August, 2020 which was more than a year after he went unavailable for selection.

He is said to be the best finisher and also the best captain that the Indian Cricket Team has ever got. The fans love him for his skills and down to earth nature. He has a wife, Shaksi Singh Dhoni and a daughter, Ziva Singh Dhoni. He announced his retirement through a post of his social media channels with a video with all the great moments of his career and the song ‘Mai Pal do Pal’.

He played 90 Tests and scored 4876 runs in his Test career. His highest score was 224 and had 6 centuries and 33 half centuries. He played a total of 350 ODIs and scored 10773 runs in his ODI career with an average of 50.58. With 73 half centuries and 10 centuries he ended his ODI career. In T20s he played 98 matches and scored 1617 runs with the highest score of 56.

He is still playing the IPL and he said that he will play another year of IPL and IPL 2023 might be the last year of MS Dhoni in cricket and the last time we see MS Dhoni playing cricket.
