According to the sources, OnePlus is set to launch its fitness bands and watches by the end of this month in India. It is rumoured that the bands will start at an affordable range of Rs 2,999 and above. The OnePlus watches will offer an OLED display, sports modes and waterproofing in all the series. OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau said that the watches are in the production and development process.
OnePlus is joining other smartphone companies in producing smartwatches and is collaborating with Google for an improved version of WearOS for the OnePlus Watch, said to be a customised skin of OxygenOS.
The photos of OnePlus watches was previously leaked in a Chinese microblogging website Weibo and in a Cyberpunk 2077 edition. The OnePlus watches are confirmed to be in the final stages of development and is said to have its own OxygenOS for watch platform, not Google’s Wear OS.
The OnePlus company had launched a series of accessories in 2020 and is set to launch another non-smartphone product in 2021. The company is going to grow bigger and bigger as it’s also going to launch it’s OnePlus 9 series and new OnePlus Nord series in 2021 along with the smartwatches.
