Radhe Shayam movie starring Pooja Hegde and Prabhas postponed due to COVID

Radhe Shyam has been postponed due to a rise in coronavirus cases. The Omicron variant is peaking as well in the country. The announcement about the postponement has come just 10 days before the film was scheduled to hit the theatre. Pooja Hegde took to her Twitter handle to share an official announcement. She wrote, “We have to postpone the release of our film #RadheShyam due to the ongoing covid situation. Our sincere thanks to all the fans for your unconditional love and support. We will see you in cinemas soon..!

Radhe Shyam features Prabhas and Pooja Hegde as the main characters of the film. It is written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. In addition to UV Creations, Gopi Krishna Movies and T-Series are also backing the film.

Radhe Shyam joins ‘RRR’, ‘Jersey’ and others, in the list of movies postponed. Although there were speculations that the film will be released on various streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. According to the reports the makers are keen on releasing the movie in theatres as it contains appealing visual grandeur which can only be enjoyed fully on the big screens with supporting Dolby/DTS sound.
