Redmi India partners with Reliance Jio for 5G trials ahead

In order to undertake live 5G network trials, Redmi India and Reliance Jio announced their alliance. These tests were specifically carried out for the forthcoming Redmi K50i. The test results, according to the business, were favourable. Launch day for the Redmi K50i is July 20.

According to Redmi India, the 5G trial was carried out outside of a laboratory setting. This resulted in a more applicable test. For scenarios requiring swiftness and low latency, including as 4K streaming and cloud gaming, the Redmi K50i was put to the test. The manufacturer asserts that the product provided lag-free online gaming and buffer-free 8K video streaming.

Since a few years ago, the Redmi K50i will be the first K-series smartphone to be released in India. The new device will compete in the fiercely competitive mid-range market with devices from OnePlus, Samsung, Poco, Realme, and other manufacturers.

It is anticipated that the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset would power the Redmi K50i. The device might include a 6.6-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.

A 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens are likely to be included in the phone’s regular triple camera system. A 16MP selfie camera will be used as the front camera. A 5,080mAh battery powers the gadget and supports 67W fast charging. The phone will run MIUI 13 and be based on the Android 12 operating system. We also know that the phone will be 8.8mm thick and weigh 200 kilos.
