Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) stated that Rohit Jawa would join the firm as CEO designate and a full-time director on April 1, 2023, and assume the roles of managing director and CEO of HUL on June 27, 2023.
Ranjay Gulati has also been named an Independent Director on the HUL Board as a result of this announcement. Moreover, Rohit will become Unilever South Asia’s new president. On April 1st, 2023, he will join the Unilever Leadership Executive (ULE). Sanjiv Mehta will step down as CEO of HUL after ten years of revolutionary leadership.
From January 2022, Rohit has effectively managed Unilever’s once-every-ten-year, end-to-end transformation as the company’s chief of transformation in London. He began working with HUL in 1988 as a management trainee and has a demonstrated history of delivering consistent business success in India, South East Asia, and North Asia.
