SA Vs Ind: Dean Elgar wins it for SA to level the series

South Africa came out victorious in the second test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. South Africa won by 7 wickets and defeated India for the first time in a test at the Red Bull Ring.  Dean Elgar was presented with the Man of the Match award for his brilliant knock.

South Africa ended Day 3 at 118/2, with captain Dean Elgar (46* off 121 deliveries) standing in between India’s first test series win in South Africa. On the 4th day, 2 sessions were washed off due to rain. South Africa needed just 122 runs to win with 8 wickets in hand. Dean Elgar missed some, took hits but stayed in the middle until the end. He scored 96 off 188 balls smashing 10 boundaries. Van der Dussen stood with the South African captain to score 40 runs before he was taken out by Shami. Temba Bavuma came in to see off the much-needed victory for the South Africans. The Proteas were in total control of the game. Indian bowlers had a tough day at office picking up just one wicket. Indian players were missing the enthusiasm that Kohli brings and Siraj was totally out of his rhythm who suffered an injury during the first innings.

India take on South Africa in the third test in Cape Town starting on 11th of January. India will be looking to create history winning their first test series in South Africa.
