Shark Tank India’s, Namita Thapar trolled on the premiere of the show

Namita Thapar, the big name in the pharma industry recently got trolled majorly by netizens. Being a shark at  ‘Shark Tank India’ Season 1 and 2, Namita Thapar is one of the prominent names nowadays on media platforms. But, popularity comes with a price.

After much anticipation, the show premiered yesterday on Sony Entertainment Television. But the start seems to be dicey.

A pitch from one of the makeup brands that are said to be competitors of Vineeta Singh’s, Sugar Cosmetics (another shark in the show) was rejected by Namita Thapar because of the bond between both the sharks, according to reports. Though, all the remaining sharks were very impressed by the pitch, Namita seemed to pave the way for a controversial decision on the very first day of the show.

Being majorly trolled for her decision, she finally reverted back to her trolls.

Rather than putting water to the fire, her reaction seems to have ignited more talks on the format of the show this time.

“If this is adopted by all sharks, please make an announcement that no eye care brands, headphone brands, medicine brands, car brands, or matrimonial brands are eligible for Shark Tank India. This became an emotional movie instead of a business show” said one of the netizens on Twitter.

The disappointment of the viewers from this season of the show is not hidden. Yet another follower of the show wrote, “This is utter non sensical theory. If you want to play friendship then why call ppl to the show. You limit creativity and opportunities and that’s can’t be justified by saying holy words of value. So exit the show or give chance to neutral investors looking for business.”

Looks like the friendship among sharks, has affected the format of the show. Apart from Namita Thapar and Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, and Amit Jain are in the panel of sharks this season.
