Shark Tank Season 2 Cast: New Sharks, Net Worth and Biography

The second season of Shark Tank will air on January 2, 2023, with a new look and one new judge, Amit Jain, the founder of CarDekho Group. This season will not feature Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe, or Ghazal Alagh of Mamaearth.

Shark Tank India, produced by Studio-NEXT, is an adaption of the hit-American show and has 7 members on the judges’ panel. Shark Tank India will air from Monday to Friday at 7 pm. During the first season of Shark Tank India, the panel of “Sharks” collectively invested 42 crore rupees in 67 businesses.

Shark Tank Judges:

1. Amit Jain

Amit Jain is the founder of CarDekho Group, a company that provides car buyers and sellers with a platform to connect with each other. He is the richest Shark on the show with a net worth of Rs 2,980 crore. Amit Jain is a person who attended IIT Delhi as a student and is from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He received his early education from St. Xavier’s School. Amit Jain is 45 years old and has worked as a software engineer for Tata Consultancy Services and another software company based in Austin.

2. Vineeta Singh

Singh is a co-founder of the e-commerce brand SUGAR Cosmetics, which is run by Velvette Lifestyle. She has a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.

Vineeta runs SUGAR Cosmetics with a network of 300 crores. She is a marathon enthusiast and has two children.

3. Anupam Mittal

Anupam Mittal is an Indian entrepreneur, angel investor, and business executive who has received media attention for his participation as a judge on the Indian version of Shark Tank. He is the founder of several companies including, a matrimonial website,, a real estate platform, and Mauj, a short video application with a net worth of 185 crores. Mittal has expressed a desire to help young Indian entrepreneurs and believes that the next decade will be a good time for startups and entrepreneurship in India.

4. Aman Gupta

Aman Gupta is a Delhi-based entrepreneur who is well-known in India’s consumer tech industry for his brand boAT, which sells a range of consumer electronics including headphones and smartwatches. Gupta founded the company in 2015 and also has investments in other businesses with a present net worth of about 700 crores.

5. Peyush Bansal

Peyush Bansal co-founded the company Lenskart with Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi in 2010. With an aim, to deliver a billion spectacles over the next decade to customers in India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, Lenskart is one of the active unicorns of the 20s. As of 2021, Lenskart is delivering 10 million spectacles per year.

Peyush Bansal is worth over 600 crore rupees with his angel investing and entrepreneurship and is praised for his practical investments in Shark Tank Season 1.

6. Namita Thapar

Namita Thapar’s wealth comes from her personal earnings and investments, as well as a stake in her father’s company, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, where her father, Satish Mehta, is the current CEO. Thapar has previously worked for companies such as GlaxoSmithKline and Guidant Corporation in the United States.

She is currently worth 600 crores and her investments in Shark Tank Season 1 are considered to be “expertise-led”.
