Shraddha Kapoor attended the Dahi Handi event in Thane with CM Eknath Shinde

On Janmashtami day, Shraddha Kapoor and Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, attended the celebration of Dahi Handi in Thane, Mumbai. The 35-year-old actor even performed a dance at the event to the song “Cham Cham” from the movie “Baaghi”, which also stars Tiger Shroff.

Eknath Shinde said while introducing Shraddha, “She is part of our Kolhapur family. She is Maharashtrian. She is one of the most loved actresses in Bollywood who has come here.”

The Janmashtami festival is widely celebrated in Thane, and various Dahi Handi tournaments are held there. A large number of spectators were present to watch the Dahi Handi contest.

Hindus celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna at Janmashtami. According to the Hindu calendar, Lord Krishna was born on the eighth day of the month of Bhadra. He is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the Western calendar, the date usually falls in August or September. The Dahi Handi Prize is celebrated with musical performances, elaborately painted swings and prayers offered to Lord Krishna during the event.

To post photos of the event, Shraddha posted the event’s outfit on her Instagram account. The orange salwar suit she wore was great. The ‘Aashiqui 2’ actor added a pair of long silver hoop earrings to complete her outfit.

On a professional level, Shraddha is currently hard at work on her next film, directed by Luv Ranjan and a premiere date she will share for the first time on March 8, 2023 with Ranbir Kapoor. In addition, she will appear in the trilogy “Naagin” and “Chalbaaz in Lonon.”
