Squid Game’ director Hwang Dong Hyuk reveals few details about the release of the awaited sequel, check out now!

Reportedly, the script for the second season of “Squid Game” has been completed and director Hwang Dong Hyuk has confirmed its release. Filming for season 2 will begin next year and will be available by the end of 2024.

Season 2 star Sung Ki Hoon is once again the center of attention (Lee Jung Jae). Ki Hoon’s awakening and transformation, the identity of the person who gave him red hair, and his revenge will take center stage at the end of Season 1. Through Netflix, director Hwang Dong Hyuk said that “Season 2) Sung Ki Hoon is no longer naive. He applies some of what he learned in season 1 (to the game in season 2).”

Both the leader (Lee Byung Hun), who oversaw the development of the game, and the bag guy (Gong Yoo), who attracts players, are back in Season 2. In addition, “Chul Su”, the boyfriend of “Young Hee”, a giant doll character who plays a tag person, will be introduced to the audience. Director Hwang is said to have struggled to work out the final game after spending a lot of time gathering ideas for a new game that will debut in Season 2. It’s detailed how a particular approach has come to be used to select the game.

Since most of the players from Season 1 died during the gameplay, Season 2 is likely to introduce a lot of new characters. Rumor has it that Jung Ho Yeon and Wi Ha Joon will appear in Season 2. Maybe Season 2 will be followed by Season 3 and Season 4 of The Squid Game. Hwang Dong Hyuk said, ” It’s difficult to answer the question if ‘Squid Game Season 2’ is the last season. It may or may not be. Let’s say it’s 50/50.”
