I’m sure we’ll all agree that we love the marketing strategies of the brand Swiggy.
It is India’s largest online food ordering and delivery platform, founded in July 2014, based in Bangalore.
Its innovative marketing ideas and advertising strategies surely catch our attention. In August 2020, the company launched their groceries delivery platform called Swiggy InstaMart.
Recently swiggy released an ad for instamart, it’s a spoof of Colgate’s iconic “kya aapke toothpaste me namak hai?” ad. It’s hilarious and definitely, it grabs our attention.
In the ad there’s a Dadi having fries and she gets annoyed when she finds the salt bottle empty and a reporter pops in asking “kya aapke toothpaste me namak hai?” on which Dadi replies “Namak hi to nahi hai” and here comes instamart to rescue. It guarantees to deliver groceries in 15-20 minutes.
This is called quick commerce where the focus is on last-mile delivery and is measured in minutes and not hours or days and many other online firms are focusing on this.
