Mumbai Indians has set a target of 178 for the Delhi Capitals.

The TATA IPL started yesterday, with the match between Kolkata and Chennai and it was won by Kolkata by 6 wickets. Yesterday’s highlights include MS Dhoni’s half century which was seen by the fans after more than 2 years. The opening match was a big hit and the fans are excited for today’s double header. The first match is between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals and the second match is between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings.

The toss of the first match is won by Delhi Capitals and they opt to bowl first. The squad of the teams have also been announced. The pitch looks like a batting pitch and looks like this will be a high scoring match. Suryakumar is not available for the first match and so Tilak Verma has got a chance prove himself.

The innings was opened by Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma. They set up a good first wicket partnership of 67 runs when Rohit Sharma got dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav. Mumbai Indians kept losing wickets regularly after that but Ishan Kishan didn’t gave up his wicket. Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets and stopped Mumbai Indians from scoring a very big total.

Ishan Kishan scored 81 runs in 48 balls. Their final score at the end of 20 overs was 177/5. Delhi Capitals will have to chase down the target of 178 runs to win the game.
