Rajat Patidar, a 28-year-old newcomer to the RCB squad, was announced on the 3rd of April as a substitute for injured player Luvnith Sisodia. The interest in this player and his performance is unlikely to wane in the coming matches.
Rajat plays domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh, and has so far played 31 T20 matches for the team. The IPL is known for discovering new talents who later go on to dominate the fields in international games under the flag. Rajat is a relatively new player, and all eyes will be on him to see if he can fill in for Luvnith Sisodia.
RCB is known for qualifying for the finals the majority of the time but never winning it. With such young talent, will RCB’s faith take new turns or will history repeat itself? This season, RCB has faced two teams, winning one and losing the other, which is a decent performance compared to the other veteran teams that are currently in poor shape with the matches they have played.
Rajat will get a lot of experience and knowledge from playing under captains like Faf du Plessis and teammates like Maxwell and Kohli. It is a fantastic opportunity for novice players like Rajat to soak up all of the information and hone their skills on the field.
