TATA IPL 2022: Tilak Verma, a young MI player who wants to buy his parents a house, spoke about his coach crying during the bidding process

Tilak Verma, 19, of the Mumbai Indians, revealed during the bidding that he was on a video call with his coach when the price started going up, and as the price went up, his coach started crying because he couldn’t believe what was happening, Hyderabad started against Rajasthan Royal from the base price and the price started going up, on 55L both teams gave up and CSK started raising the player’s price with Mumbai Indians joining the bidding.


Tilak was named in the U-19 world cup 2020 squad, and in an interview with Cricbuzz, he spoke about his family and what he expects from this season, saying, “My father had to look after everything, starting from my cricket kit to my brother’s studies, later I was able to help a little with the sponsorships I received, with this IPL’s salary I want to buy a house for my family as we do not have one, this IPL will give me the luxury to play freely for the rest of my coming career”



Tilak also told Cricbuzz how he told the news to his family after getting picked and his parents cried a lot on the news “my mom was not able to believe and say anything at all”, this young boy has a bright future ahead as MI is famous for picking up the best of players and looking after them, having such an mature mindset at 19 Verma’s performance is going to be a must watch this IPL.
