Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that he voted Republican for the first time

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, said that he voted Republican for the first time in his life, casting a ballot for Mayra Forbes, who is the first Mexican-born lawmaker to serve in the United States House of Representatives. She won a special election in Texas’ 34t Congressional District.

On Wednesday, Musk tweeted that he voted for Republican for the first time.

Elon Musk forecasted a major red wave in 2022. He also stated that if Florida Governor Ron DeSantis decides to run for president in 2024, he will vote for him.

Musk answered, “tbd” when a Twitter user asked if he would vote Republican 2024 presidential election. The user responded, “what are you leaning towards? ”

“DeSantis”,  Mush replied,  referring to Florida’s Republican Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis, who has not officially entered the campaign,  is a close ally of former President Donald Trump and is widely regarded as the party’s front runner.

Meanwhile, Mayra Flores, in response to Musk’s post, wrote: “Welcome to the Republican Party! We welcome all walkaways from all walks of life. The party of opportunity, prosperity, and freedom is here to stay. We look forward to working together and building a better future for all of America.”

On being asked if this was the first time that Musk has been receiving massive amounts of hate from the top Democrat leaders including President Joe Biden, the Tesla CEO said, “Yes.

Another Twitter user asked him if his, ” Political donations will be evenly spread out.” Musk responded, ” I’m thinking of creating a ‘Super Moderate Super PAC’ that supports candidates with centrist views from all parties. “
