
Thailand is one of the most visited countries by travellers. Thailand is known for tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples displaying figures of Buddha. The world was all quarantined because of covid-19 for the last two years. After several ups and downs because of covid circumstances, the country has finally resumed quarantine free travelling.
Travelling to Thailand was not allowed due to omicron cases, the economy of the country suffered a lot due to the omicron cases. The omicron cases were spiking and people were hospitalising at high rates. Now vaccinated travellers are allowed to the country with the test and go policy. It was stated by Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman for the country. The travellers will be required to isolate themselves at a hotel while waiting for their test results, and they will be required to download a tracking app to ensure that they comply with the rules.
According to the scheme, vaccinated travellers are allowed to stay for 7 nights in a different place in the country. As per the estimates of the Tourism Ministry, around five million foreign visitors will likely visit Thailand in 2022, which is down from nearly 40 million if compared to the pre-pandemic levels. As the country has suffered a lot of loss it has decided to resume quarantine free travelling which is good news for travellers for this upcoming summer vacation.
