The Matrix creators have released a new poster for The Matrix Resurrections, a highly awaited sci-fi film. The upcoming film will be the fourth installment in the franchise, and it will take place after the events of The Matrix. The film, which stars Keanu Reeves as Neo, has brought back some familiar characters as well as introduced some new ones to the stimulated world.
A new Matrix 4 poster has been released, depicting Reeves’ Neo with new and familiar people. Neo reunites with Trinity, played by Carrie-Anne Moss, as well as other new cast members, in the poster. The team is seen wearing classic leather outfits and holding guns, hinting at the film’s high-octane action.
Actress Priyanka Chopra shared the new poster with her Instagram followers on November 17th.
Lana Wachowski’s The Matrix Resurrections follows the narrative of Neo and Trinity 20 years after the events of The Matrix Revolutions. With the film’s release date approaching, the producers are speeding up its advertising efforts, with the actors temporarily stationed in the United Kingdom to help.
In September of this year, Warner Bros. published the first trailer for the highly anticipated blockbuster. The film’s trailer gives a glance inside the action-packed flick, in which anarchy is ignited by either a red or blue pill. The teaser begins with a scene inside the office of a psychiatrist, played by Neil Patrick Harris, who is speaking with his client, Neo, who now has a full beard and long hair. It appears that Neo has changed his name to Thomas and has returned to the artificial reality known as the Matrix. And he has no clue what to do about it, identical to what occurred to him in the 1999 film “Matrix.”
Thomas is shown to be heavily dependent on blue pills. He has an unusual conversation with Trinity in the following scene, who likewise appears to be trapped in the Matrix. In the trailer, Priyanka Chopra Jonas appears as a strange woman who smiles suspiciously at Neo. It’s also become evident that Yahya Abdul Mateen II is portraying a younger version of Morpheus, the eponymous character played by Lawrence Fishburne in the original trilogy. He throws Thomas a red pill, which symbolizes the franchise’s idea, and tells him it’s time to fly. Soon, footage of Neo with powers emerges, revealing The Matrix for what it is: a fictitious world.
In addition to Reeves and Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith returns for the fourth movie while Jessica Henwick and Christina Ricci are newbies.
The rest of the teaser is packed with thrilling action moments as Neo is pursued by the Agents of Matrix once more. Fans have learned to anticipate plenty of jumping, a lot of twists in mid-air, karate, and acrobats from a Matrix film.
‘The Matrix Ressurections’ will be released on December 22.
