Last night RCBv/s KNR  the spectators witnessed a tough competition between the two teams and after a nail biting performance Kolkata Knight Riders won the match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore were knocked out from IPL 2021. In the Eliminator match, it was Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. Kolkata Knight Riders. With this loss, now we will never see Virat Kohli as a Captain in IPL. Before starting the second phase of IPL 2021, Virat Kohli shared a video and announced that he would be stepping down from the captaincy after IPL 2021. However, he clarified that he would continue playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He will also step down as an Indian skipper after the world cup. After the match, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers were seen getting emotional.

This season the team finished third in the table with 9 wins and 5 losses. However, in the Eliminator, things were not in Royal Challengers Bangalore favor. RCB lost the match by 4 wickets.

After the match, during the presentation, Virat Kohli said that he gave 120% to this franchise. He said,

“I have tried my best to create a culture where youngsters could come and play expressive cricket. It is something I have tried to do at the India level as well. All I can say is that I have given my best. I have given my 120% to this franchise and will continue giving it as a player on the field. It is a great time to regroup and restructure the franchise for the next three years. I will definitely (play for RCB). For me, loyalty matters and my commitment is with this franchise till the last day I play IPL.”

The video of Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers is going viral. The duo were seen getting emotional and crying. These two have been the pillars of Royal Challengers Bangalore for years. However, there is no single trophy in their name that makes them and millions of fans sad.


Virat Kohli shared a post on his social media and thanked all the fans, management, and support staff for their support. He wrote, ‘Not the result we wanted but I am so proud of the character shown by the boys throughout the tournament. A disappointing end but we can hold our heads high. Thank you to all the fans, management & the support staff for your constant support. @RCB’
