Eddie Asner was an American actor and a President of the screen actors guild. He was known for playing Lou Giant during the 1970s and early 1980s. He is the most honored male performer in the history of primetime Emmy awards. Asner won an outstanding singer performance by supporting actors in TV series for Roots.
