Dungeshwari Hills: The Dungeshwari Hills, located in the pious country of Bodh Gaya, is home to a highly famous and sacred place. Dungeshwari Hills, also known as Mahakala Caves, is where Lord Buddha spent years of penance before descending to Bodhgaya. The hill offers panoramic views of Bodh Gaya, and getting to the top requires some hiking. When you get to the top, you’ll notice a little yet attractive temple where local religious people come every day.
Kesaria Stupa: The Kesaria Stupa, a well-known archaeological site near Tajpur, is a Buddhist pilgrimage destination. This is India’s largest Buddha Stupa, located in the Bihar town of Kesariya and built by Mauryan King Ashoka. The stupa, also known as Baba Kesarnath, is said to have included a Shiva temple, which was demolished during excavation in 1958. Apart from being an archaeological site, this stupa is also a popular tourist destination for those interested in both history and natural surroundings.
Kumhrar: Kumhrar is both an excavation and an archaeological site, and it is thought to be the site of the former kingdom of Patliputra. People were also shown numerous relics of historic settlements, their boats, everyday use objects, and many other things that are still on exhibit as a result of the excavations around the area. This is an excellent destination to visit if you are a history enthusiast interested in learning more about the past.
Sonbhandar Caves: The Sonbhandar Caves have attracted a large number of tourists due to the different legends and myths that surround them. This location was previously a treasure hunting hotspot and was known as “Sona Bhandara Caves,” which means a mound of gold. The caverns’ interior walls include certain writings that have yet to be decoded, and these inscriptions are thought to provide information about the hidden riches. This is one of the unknown places in Bihar that is well worth a visit.
Telhar Kund: The Telhar Kund, a magnificent tiny lake created by a flowing torrent of the waterfall, is located in the center of a wide forest with lush green trees. The combination of a waterfall, a small lake, and a high-standing viewpoint makes it an ideal spot for having fun while taking in the beauty of nature. The kund can only be reached by going through a forest for a short distance, making it a must-see for adventure seekers. The Karamchat Dam, which is located here, is recognized for its scenic vistas and lush foliage, and as a result, many groups, whether friends or family, visit to spend time in nature. In the same region, there is a large spring-fall, which is regarded as the primary tourist attraction.
